Wei Chien (Wayne) Hung, PhD
Wei Chien Hung (Wayne) was born and raised in Tainan Taiwan. After graduated from Tainan Fist High School, he determined to further pursue education in US. After he gained the bachelor degree from Missouri University majoring Biochemistry, he fiercely marched for advanced education in east coast. For 7 years in Baltimore Maryland, he obtained Master degree in Bioinformatics and PhD degree in Chemical and Bimolecular Engineering from Johns Hopkins University.
In 2016, Wei Chien moved up to New Haven CT to work as postdoctoral researcher in Yale University. He decided to start his industrial career and joined a Yale spin off Alexion Pharmaceutical as process development scientist. He then accepted a position in Biogen at Cambridge in 2019 and officially moved to Boston. Wei Chien currently works as senior engineer in Takeda Pharmaceutical at Lexington, and continue devote himself to drug process development and innovation.
Wei Chien accepts the assignment from current president and Teresa Young to join BTCC in late 2021. With all effort, he will facilitate BTCC to carry on the mission and continue its legacy.
Although Wei Chien has been trained as scientist, molecular biologist and engineer, he never confines his interest and always opens to explore different industry. Besides works, he loves art, studying history, creating ikebana and bonsai.
洪維謙
維謙，出生於台南，台南一中畢業後赴美求學，先後經歷密蘇里大學部，約翰霍普金斯公衛所生物資訊系，約翰霍普金斯化學生物工程博士班畢業。研究所畢業後在耶魯大學醫學院從事罕見疾病研究。 爾後加入當地由耶魯醫學院教授所建立的Alexion Pharmaceutical 擔任製程科學家。
維謙，於2019年來到波士頓就業，先後在Biogen 百健，Takeda 武田製藥擔任資深工程師/經理，專注於製藥的優化，與各項製藥工業的科技發展。
維謙，旅美生涯蒙受台商會與僑委會許多照顧。於2021年受波士頓台商會楊羅東女士與李孟潔醫師的邀請，擔任商會副會長。維謙，將全力協助會長與協會，傳承商會的薪火與達成商會中長期目標。
維謙雖職業訓練歷程為理工背景，但愛好文化歷史，藝術，且持續關注各行各業的發展，與國際趨勢。
